In January 2021, Quest Diagnostics opened its doors to the world’s largest automated specimen testing facility. This diagnostic wet lab now serves as the premier innovation laboratory in Quest’s portfolio, boasting the highest volume output per square foot in the industry. The lab supports routine biological testing; complex and specialized molecular, and gene-based testing. The facility includes areas for sample receipt, visitor entry and warehousing, as well as a cafeteria, gym, offices and town hall spaces.
Acting on behalf of Quest, GRE led the project efforts from land acquisition through certificate of occupancy. We provided full-time, on-site program management services; managed the budget and schedule; and coordinated between numerous parties and stakeholders to ensure Quest’s best interests were represented throughout all phases of this $250+-million project.
